While the i3+ EVO is more effective at picking up surface debris than some of the other robovacs we reviewed, it's not the best self cleaning vacuum in terms of cleaning corners and edges. It is also less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly quiet. It was a bit rough on furniture, since it moved chairs away. It also made some collisions with the sides of the bed.

2. Black & Decker Pro Q5

If you're looking to expand your collection of robot vacuums or are just starting out using one, the Q5 Pro is a great choice. The Q5 Pro's 240 minute running time is also a lot when in comparison to other 2-in-1 robots that we tested. If the battery is low, it will automatically return to its dock, where it recharges and then resumes cleaning from where it left off. You can manage the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

This is the first robot we've seen that incorporates 3D mapping. This along with other advances, helped it perform exceptionally well in our vacuuming tests and mopping tests. You can schedule cleanings and set up no-go zones. You can also check the status of your battery. The app is easy to use, but it isn't compatible with Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of the beginning of November, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to indicate that this feature will be delayed until 2025. HomeKit isn't compatible with several other robots, but Siri Shortcuts are.

The iMop awed us with its assessment of the effectiveness of navigation and coverage and was also good at eliminating obstacles, like furniture. It's also able to return to the base station which is a great feature in the event that it's running out of battery during a cleaning session.

The spot cleaning mode allows you to clean a certain area on your floor. And it can be manually programmed to follow a predetermined route, which is helpful if you have narrow staircases or hallways. It did a decent job of cleaning carpets in our carpet cleaning test however, it had trouble with higher pile carpets and rug.
