The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to identify objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best automatic vacuum cleaner robot to mop we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean in areas you don’t would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.

Its design is also a step above the competition and features a sleek, top 10 robot vacuum cleaner piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot do this. And it did all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.

While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be hybrid. This type of robot typically has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home at the same time. These bots also have a variety of extra features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but they often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't perform to the standards. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not include some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) but it's an excellent choice if you are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones, modify your home map or re-label rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make the machine easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is simple. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for the majority of people, but it can help to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot sweeper mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the top in the market however, it's costly.

The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is relatively compact. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovac I've tried that does well at picking up dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's not able climb stairs as well as some competitors, either, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't have as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the premium price cost.

However, if you're looking to save money, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine there are many other options available, including a lot of eufy models priced significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive and has more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile as well as high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping functions at an affordable price. It's easy to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock near a power outlet and enough space for it to move however.
