WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader kit upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item level upgrade used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best equipment available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan on making. This is particularly relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which will only be able to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are filled with top-quality gear.
