Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills and stains) in one time without the need to change devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual gets you running in no time. It comes with the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly app that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you could opt for the
robot vacuum cleaners best to take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. The only problem is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will tell you precisely what the robot has completed, where it's moving, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station has a handy LCD screen that displays the time when maintenance is required, such as emptying debris and washing the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, using a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time, with the mop capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. The model this year has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might miss.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around the objects without a pause.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.
The only issue I have discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for washing manually. I've found any plush carpet that the
robot vacuum best touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops in order to enable voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading
robot vacuum cleaners reviews vacuum mop cleaner robot and mop with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up dry debris, including pet hair and food particles. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet while in use and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 has a side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean curved furniture such as table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to reach under low-profile furniture which makes it a great option for smaller apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots, which is a nice addition that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by excessive back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or in a series. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple and easy to use, and the X40's smart features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect the moment when the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it overflows.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It has many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature of its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and small dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature since it prevents the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a useful method of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There are many options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app or direct buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also offers a number of features that aren't available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on market, sporting a white and metallic design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is well-designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
