The Best
Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He reviews and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers can be ideal for those looking to remove mopping from their to-do lists. Some of them have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other options and makes it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the
best robot hoover navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through an efficient.
It's efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one motion. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brush helps to remove debris from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop rotates at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into tight corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger debris like broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's easy to install and performs well however this is something you'll have to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a variety of features.
The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home and also detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This ensures an even and thorough clean and is also rapid.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.
Another noteworthy feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to alter the intensity of its suction, and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random patterns. You can also set the number of passes it will make, which will determine the speed at which the device can traverse your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.
The device comes with a expensive price, but comes with a large selection of smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device will incur periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad variety of physical automation features. The robot
automatic vacuum cleaner and mop also comes with an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean button' and a Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. It is a powerful machine with smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module that is equipped with microfiber pads. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to shield specific areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able to capture a large amount of hair our cats shed and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were nice jingles to let you know that it was starting and getting its work done.
The app was too easy and you had to change the modules every time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to contain multiple maps, which could be a pain if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni
robot vacuums That mop vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni like other
robotic cleaner and mop vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.
On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking
robot vacuum cleaners reviews, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
